Low back pain & sciatica
Lumbar segments, disc irritation and the leg pain that follows it. Adjusting plus traction and specific loading you do at home between visits.
Read the detailRick Kuhlman, DC has treated low backs, necks and sciatica at the same Roswell Road address since 2004. The exam is unhurried, the plan is written down, and you leave knowing how many visits it should take.
Five things happen every first appointment, in this order. Nothing here is a surprise you find out about at the desk afterwards.
Sleep, commute, lifting, a new desk chair. Most low backs on this road have a reason behind them, and it usually turns up in the first ten minutes.
Orthopedic and neurological screens, posture, and how far each segment actually moves — measured, written on your chart, and repeated later so progress is not a feeling.
If a red flag shows up you get a referral a mile up the road the same day. If it does not, you are not paying for films nobody needed.
Diversified, drop-table or instrument — Dr. Kuhlman names the technique, shows the segment on the model, and asks before hands go anywhere.
Typically six to eight visits for a new complaint, then a re-exam. If the numbers are not moving by then, we change the plan or send you to someone who fits better.
Six complaints account for the large majority of the schedule. Each one has its own exam sequence and its own idea of what better should look like by week three.

Rick Kuhlman, DC — owner since 2004
The practice started in a two-room suite a block north of where it sits now, with one table and a waiting room that held four people. Twenty-two years later it is the same doctor, the same street, and a fair number of patients who first came in with a sore neck and now bring their adult children.
Nothing about the care is trend-driven. Dr. Kuhlman adjusts, prescribes a small amount of homework, measures whether it worked, and says so plainly when chiropractic is not the answer — which is why the orthopedists and physical therapists nearby keep sending people over.
Send one request. The desk calls back with the two closest openings and your verified copay — usually within a business hour.
One owner, one block of Roswell Rd, open since 2004.
Across last year’s weekday appointments, front door to table.
Chosen from the exam, not from habit or a package.
X-ray and MRI partner close enough to go the same day.
Both exist in this city. It is worth knowing which one you are booking before you hand over a copay.
